What You Need to Know About Me

Hi! I'm Briana Sadé and like many I have found myself pondering this question: What is life?

A sometimes sarcastic question I'm sure we have all asked ourselves at least once. But really, what is life? Am I living life well? What does it mean to be "well", anyway?

I've taken a huge interest in figuring out how to live life well. I personally believe that faith is a major key when looking for answers to all of life's questions. Simply put, I have found that faith is truly what works for me!

As an undergraduate Exercise Science student at Georgia State University, the term wellness was briefly covered in a few classes. The primary focus, however, was mostly about what it means to be physically well. Physical wellness or fitness, is a big deal for lots of people and for many different reasons, and I assure you this blog will not neglect your fitspiration needs. However, after adulting for a few years, finishing undergrad, and hustling through my graduate career in the University of Miami Doctor of Physical Therapy program, I now fully understand that there is definitely more to wellness than just hitting the gym and eating fruit.

It wasn't long before I realized my emotions were always out of whack (even after blaming PMS), it was hard for me to address my own thoughts, doing well in school was more of a mindless habit than a truly enjoyable experience, I didn't know who I truly fit in with, and my life seemed to lack direction and purpose. I was physically fit, but the rest of me needed some serious help...

So here I am, helping the rest of me, engaging in an open self reflection, and attempting to figure this whole life thing out. One thing I do know is that faith and balance are MAJOR keys to life. This blog focuses on applying faith to balancing the Dimensions of Wellness which include (but of course are not limited to): physical wellness, emotional wellness, financial wellness, spiritual wellness, and intellectual wellness. I hope that you'll ride along!

Remember, faith without works is dead (James 2:17)! So be on the look out for wellness challenges to start actively engaging your faith with friends and family!
